The coating is an innovative formulation based on sodium silicate and aerogel. Quantishield FR1000 Fireproof Coating is compatible with a wide range of substrates including steel, iron, wood, concrete, and plastic.   

QuantiShield FR1000 Fire Protection Coating provides excellent protection from fire and heat by incorporating  Aerogel Powder, which exhibits superior flame resistant and flame retardant properties. The coating provides fire protection without emitting toxic fumes hazardous to the environment. Our inorganic fireproof coating can withstand temperatures of 1200℃ for 2 hours and have actually withstood temperatures of 1500℃ for more than 3 hours without loss of structural integrity or weight in internal lab tests.
